Only one week left to get your tickets to Surg+Restore’s Fundraiser for Sierra Leone! The $75 adult ticket ($25 for kids 6-20) includes:
*Beer and wine
*A silent auction with something for everyone, and
*The showing of a documentary describing the critical need and our work in Sierra Leone.
*A tax-deductible donation of $55
Funds raised will sponsor anesthesiology training for two Sierra Leone physicians. These two doctors, along with two plastic surgeons being sponsored by our Scottish partner charity, ReSurge Africa, will form the foundation of Sierra Leone’s first and only Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and Burn Care Center.
Sierra Leone is one of the ten poorest countries in the world. It has a population of nearly 7 million, but only 200 physicians, including only 20 surgeons. The country has NO plastic surgeons, NO anesthesiologists and NO residency training programs for any medical specialty. When the Center is fully functioning and self-sustaining in 10 years, it will serve 600-1000 patients a year.
Please join us next Saturday, April 29 at 6 pm to enjoy a festive and inspirational evening AND to make an essential contribution that will transform the lives of many people of Sierra Leone. You can PURCHASE YOUR TICKETS TODAY for a small fee at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2886747 or purchase them from any board member (Scott Brown, Jane Foreman, Jimmie Thomas, Amber Zupancic-Albin or Gaia Lyle). Purchasing your tickets in advance will assure we have plenty of food and drink for everyone. Tickets will also be available at the door.
